Your writing is not training data. Nothing you write here is used to train AI models, and it is not sold, shared, or given to anyone else.

Where your writing goes

While you write, your draft is saved to this device and to your own account on our storage provider, so that a closed tab or a dead laptop does not cost you the work. It travels over an encrypted connection and is encrypted at rest.

Your writing is never sent to analytics, error reporting, or any third-party service. There is no session replay, no heatmap, and no page-content capture. Individual keystrokes, keystroke timing, and your text selection never leave your device at all.

What we count

We count page views, so we know whether anyone is finding this. A view records which kind of page was opened, roughly where in the world the request came from, and which browser it used. There is no cookie, and nothing that follows you to another website.

The web address is reduced to its shape before it is sent, in your browser, before the request leaves. A visit to a piece of writing is counted as a document was opened, never which one. A shared link is counted as a shared page was opened, and the part of the link that grants access is removed first. Anything you type into the search box is dropped along with the rest of the address. So we can see that the room was entered nine times yesterday, and we cannot see what was written in it, which document it was, or who opened it.

Who can read it

Only you, unless you decide otherwise. Access is enforced by the database itself, not only by the app, so another signed-in person cannot reach your documents even by changing a web address or calling the API directly.

You can create a link to a single piece of writing. Anyone holding that link can read that one piece and nothing else: not your other documents, not your name, not your email address. Sharing is off until you turn it on, one document at a time, and turning a link off stops it working immediately. Shared pages ask search engines not to index them and carry no excerpt in their link previews, so pasting one into a chat does not spill the writing into the conversation.

What we know about you

Your email address, so you can sign in without a password, and the goal settings you last chose, so the next room can start where you left off. There are no passwords to leak because there are no passwords.

Taking your writing with you

Every document can be downloaded as a plain text file at any time, from your library or from the screen you see after finishing a room.

Deleting your account

Deleting your account removes your documents and your writing sessions. It happens as soon as you confirm it. Backups taken before the deletion are kept for a short period before they expire, which is the only copy that outlives the request.

What this product does not claim

The room blocks pasting, dropping, copying, and cutting while you write. This is a focus constraint you have chosen, and nothing more. A web page cannot prevent another device, another application, a browser extension, an operating-system feature, or an accessibility tool from supplying text, and it cannot stop anyone from typing in something they read elsewhere. Finishing a session here is not evidence of how the writing was produced, and we will never present it as if it were.
